A memory

There used to be a house across the street from me when I was little. It was old; perhaps made in the 1600's or so. I never found out really. It had huge white columns and ivy that crept up the sides and claimed the left half of the porch. It was vacant, by my friends and I used to pretend we lived there as lords and ladies. Our neighbors didn't mind even though technically we were trespassing. I always wanted to see the inside of that house. I wanted to find old things, like chests of old cloths and mysterious items like they did in the movies.
They tore down that house about three years ago. I miss it sometimes.

  1. Wow the 1600's? Where I'm at...we don't have buildings that old. How amazing and blessed you are to live in a place with a lot of history! xoxo- Stef

  2. :) History and English are my favorite things to study. I thank god every day for the things I have seen. From the pyramids to the great wall of china to the volcanos in Hawaii.

  4. haha I went on a trip once with a chorus that toured europe (and egypt) and I had an uncle that lived in china for a while. Hawaii was my honeymoon. :) I think my favorite place has to be Ireland. The country is so beautiful and the music is phonominal. :)
